The FSC Chain of Custody is a standard issued by the International Organisation "Forest Stewardship Council" and describes a sustainable forest management system which aims at effective monitoring of raw materials that are used to produce a company's products. The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an independent, non-profit organization founded in 1993 to promote an environmentally sound, socially beneficial and economically sustainable forest management of our planet.
FSC certification provides the relation between responsible forest management and the consumption of products derived from them (timber, paper), allowing consumers to identify responsible forestry products in stores around the world, as after certification companies have the opportunity to mark their products with FSC Label.
